Virtech together with Regional Cluster North-East organised the 2nd participatory workshops under the HealthyW8 project aimed to gather valuable stakeholder's feedback on the most voted intervention strategies and digital tools aimed to address various obesity related issues.
The goal of HealthyW8 is to improve the efficacy of obesity prevention initiatives across Europe by developing a digital-based healthy lifestyle recommender system that tailors interventions to individual needs and preferences. The project brings together a consortium of 24 public and private partners among the most prestigious institutions in Europe and will draw on transdisciplinary research to increase the impact of current and future obesity prevention interventions and policies in the EU.
The workshop was split into two parts, addressing the two major approaches:
- Morning workshop focused on critical analysis, ideation and prototyping of the intervention strategies for obesity prevention and stimulation of a healthy lifestyle
- Afternoon workshop focused on Conceptualization of end-user profiles and of the of most voted tools’ functionalities for obesity prevention and stimulation of a healthy lifestyle
Voting for the best intervention strategy
In the morning workshop the participants were focused on the critycal analysis of the intervention strategies emerged in the first round of local workshops and ideated and prototyped the most voted intervention strategies coming from all EU project partners.
The afternoon workshop was dedicated to the technical solutions and the project partners demonstrated such technical applications. Then the stakeholders focused on the conceptualization of the end-user profiles as well as on the conceptualization of the most voted tools’ functionalities, where mockups to visually illustrate the expected appearance and functioning were used.
