The AgeWare solution was developed as part of the H2020 BOWI project: Boosting Widening Digital Innovation Hubs. Designed as a Smart Energy and Active & Healthy Aging solution, AgeWare has been deployed in an operational environment with end-users in Sofia.
The implementation plan was structured into six key stages. The first stage focused on defining user requirements, along with the functional and technical specifications of AgeWare, ensuring a minimal viable service configuration. The next phase involved the implementation of AgeWare’s core functionalities, which include Smart Energy Services, Smart Health and Fitness Services, a GDPR-compliant module, smart contracting, and call center functionality.
The third phase aimed to establish the necessary digital infrastructure and IoT devices in at least five homes of elderly individuals. This included organizing software installation, setting up databases, and configuring data processing facilities.
The initial prototype of AgeWare was originally developed within the framework of the H2020 ACTIVAGE Project.
